Yes I know

Yes, I know I said I'd post the pictures today. No, it isn't going to happen.
Ralph, my dear sweet husband has given me his cold. I'm so sleepy, but my nose keeps running and I keep sneezing, oh hold on a sec.............. Sorry, a couple of sneezes crept up on me. And I'm freezing, I can't seem to get warm today, plus my poor nose is beginning to get red and sore. Enough of my complaining, I'm going back to the couch.

Lots of Crocheting, But No Pictures :(

I've been trying to upload pictures for almost an hour now and good ol' blogger isn't cooperating. But just let me tell you what I've been doing....... I crocheted a purse using Lion Suede using a pattern that I made up (a first), Anisette Vest from Amazing Lace Crochet is complete, Sweet Pea from SNB Crochet is done, Chaco the Parrot Puppet is all crochet he just needs assembled, I'm in the middle of the Tropical Silk Sweater Crocheted Cover- up , I've also started on the Pistachio Parfat Ruana also from Amazing Lace Crochet. The Ruana uses the same pattern stitchs as the Allegheny Moon Mobius, so I'm doing this first just to see how it works up, so far so good. I'm also planning on making the Flower Power Vest (i love this book !) , I just got my yarn for it yesterday.
I've been a busy little bee, just crocheting my fingers to the bone and doing as little housework as possible (lol) Hopefully blogger will let me post the pictures by Monday !

Tragedy at Virginia Tech

My heart goes out to all of those that were personally touched by yesterday's tragedy.
May all of those lost, rest in peace and those that survived, find peace.

I've spent most of the day glued to the TV in disbelief, wondering how such a young man could have been so troubled as to take so many lives, including his own. This happening at a time in life that should be filled with partying and having fun, being care free for perhaps the last time in life.

We can only hope that this is not repeated.

Hi my name is Naomi and I'm an addict...............a yarn addict.
Truely I am and the fact that I don't even have to leave home to feed my addiction makes it tough to stop. As you can see it's been over a month since my last post and no, I haven't used up all of my "new" stash yet, but I want more ! There's something so pleasing about new yarn, it doesn't matter if it arrives in the mail or I go to my LYS. Ah, yes, an LYS, don't you just love the smell of all of the yarn and the color explosion that you see when you walk in the door ? Then there is ebay, not to mention all of the online places to buy yarn, and the people who give me yarn. What's a girl to do ? Must restrain from buying more yarn, no, don't need the light weight cotton for summer, but I want some..............
